Sam and his fiancée Erica live and work in Bend, OR. He is an avid hunter, angler, and adventurer who spent his formative years working as a guide and gunsmith where he gained first-hand knowledge of the interplay between ranching and hunting as it relates to conservation and the nuances of rural living.

Sam then took his love for the outdoors and channeled it into the rest of his education.
